Abstract (down) We have made a study of the J/psi -> eta'h(1), eta h(1) [with h(1) being /11(1170) and h(1)(1380)1 and P/psi ->pi(0)b(1) 171(1235)(0) assuming the axial vector mesons to be dynamically generated from the pseudoscalar-vectormeson interaction. We have taken the needed input from previous studies of the J/psi -> phi pi pi, omega pi pi reactions. We obtain fair agreement with experimental data and provide an explanation on why the recent experiment on J/psi -> eta'h(1)(1380), h(1)(1380) -> K*K-+(-) + c.c. observed in the K+K-pi(0) mode observes the peak of the h(1)(1380) at a higher energy than its nominal mass.

Title Role of the triangle singularity in Lambda(1405) production in the pi(-) p -> K-0 pi Sigma and pp -> pK(+) pi Sigma processes Type Journal Article

Abstract (down) We have investigated the cross section for the pi(-) p -> K-0 pi Sigma and pp -> pK(+) pi Sigma reactions, paying attention to a mechanism that develops a triangle singularity. The triangle diagram is realized by the decay of a N* to K* Sigma and the K* decay into pi K, and the pi Sigma finally merges into Lambda (1405). The mechanism is expected to produce a peak around 2140 MeV in the K Lambda (1405) invariant mass. We found that a clear peak appears around 2100 MeV in the K Lambda (1405) invariant mass, which is about 40 MeV lower than the expectation, and that is due to the resonance peak of a N* resonance which plays a crucial role in the K* Sigma production. The mechanism studied produces the peak of the Lambda (1405) around or below 1400 MeV, as is seen in the pp -> pK(+) pi Sigma HADES experiment.

Title Molecular Omega(c) states generated from coupled meson-baryon channels Type Journal Article

Abstract (down) We have investigated Omega(c) states that are dynamically generated from the meson-baryon interaction. We use an extension of the local hidden gauge to obtain the interaction from the exchange of vector mesons. We show that the dominant terms come from the exchange of light vectors, where the heavy quarks are spectators. This has as a consequence that heavy quark symmetry is preserved for the dominant terms in the (1/m(Q)) counting, and also that the interaction in this case can be obtained from the SU(3) chiral Lagrangians. We show that for a standard value for the cutoff regulating the loop, we obtain two states with J(P) = 1/2(-) and two more with J(P) = 3/2(-), three of them in remarkable agreement with three experimental states in mass and width. We also make predictions at higher energies for states of vector-baryon nature.

Abstract (down) We have improved the tree-level model of Ref.[1] for weak production of kaons off nucleons by partially restoring unitarity. This is achieved by imposing Watson's theorem to the dominant vector and axial-vector contributions in appropriate angular momentum and isospin quantum number sectors. The observable consequences of this procedure are investigated.

Title The D-s(+)->pi(+KSKS0)-K-0 reaction and the I=1 partner of the f(0)(1710) state Type Journal Article

Abstract (down) We have identified the decay modes of the D-s(+)-> pi K+*K+*(-),pi+K*(0)(K) over bar*(0) reactions producing a pion and two vector mesons. The posterior vector-vector interaction generates two resonances that we associate to the f(0)(1710) and the a(0)(1710) recently claimed, and they decay to the observed K+K- or (KSKS0)-K-0 pair, leading to the reactions D-s(+)->pi+K+K-,pi(+KSKS0)-K-0. The results depend on two parameters related to external and internal emission. We determine a narrow region of the parameters consistent with the large N-c limit within uncertainties which gives rise to decay widths in agreement with experiment. With this scenario we make predictions for the branching ratio of the a(0)(1710) contribution to the D-s(+)->pi(K+KS0)-K-0 reaction, finding values within the range of (1.3 +/- 0.4)x10(-3). Comparison of these predictions with coming experimental results on that latter reaction will be most useful to deepen our understanding on the nature of these two resonances.

Title Upsilon(nl) decay into B(*) (B)over-bar(*) Type Journal Article

Abstract (down) We have evaluated the decay modes of the Upsilon(4s), Upsilon(3d), Upsilon(5s), Upsilon(6s) states into B (B) over bar, B (B) over bar* + c.c., B* (B) over bar*, B-s(B) over bar (s), B-s(B) over bar (s)* + c.c., B-s* (B) over bar (s)* using the P-3(0) model to hadronize the bb vector seed, fitting some parameters to the data. We observe that the Upsilon(4s) state has an abnormally large amount of mesonmeson components in the wave function, while the other states are largely b (b) over bar. We predict branching ratios for the different decay channels which can be contrasted with experiment for the case of the Upsilon(5s) state. While globally the agreement is fair, we call the attention to some disagreement that could be a warning for the existence of more elaborate components in the state.

Title Theoretical study of the gamma d -> pi(0)eta d reaction Type Journal Article
Year 2023 Publication Physical Review C Abbreviated Journal Phys. Rev. C
Volume 107 Issue 2 Pages 025202 - 24pp
Keywords
Abstract (down) We have done a theoretical study of the gamma d -> pi(0)eta d reaction starting with a realistic model for the gamma N -> pi(0)eta N reaction that reproduces cross sections and polarization observables at low energies and involves the gamma N -> Delta(1700) -> eta Delta(1232) -> eta pi N-0 process. For the coherent reaction in the deuteron we considered the impulse approximation together with the rescattering of the pions and the eta on a different nucleon than the one where they are produced. We found this second mechanism very important since it helps share between two nucleons the otherwise large momentum transfer of the reaction. Other contributions to the gamma d -> pi(0)eta d reaction, involving the gamma N -> pi(+/-)pi N-0' process, followed by the rescattering of the pi(+/-) with another nucleon to give eta and a nucleon, have also been included. We find a natural explanation, tied to the dynamics of our model, for the shift of the eta-d mass distribution to lower invariant masses, and of the pi(0)-d mass distribution to larger invariant masses, compared to a phase space calculation. We also study theoretical uncertainties related to the large momenta of the deuteron wave function involved in the process as well as to the couplings present in the model. Striking differences are found with the experimental angular distribution and further theoretical investigations might be necessary.

Abstract (down) We have done a study of the B--> K-pi X-0(3872) reaction by means of a triangle mechanism via the chain of reactions: B--> K-D*(0);(D) over bar*(0); D*(0)-> pi D-0(0); D-0(D) over bar*(0)-> X(3872). We show that this mechanism generates a triangle singularity in the pi X-0(3872) invariant mass for a very narrow window of the X(3872) mass, around the present measured values, and show that the peak positions and the shape of the mass distributions arc sensitive to the X(3872) mass, such that a measurement of the reaction can serve to improve on the present values of this mass. In particular, we point out that the X(3872) mass relative to the D-0(D) over bar*(0) threshold may be extracted from the asymmetry of the pi X-0 line shape.

Keywords Femtoscopy; Tcc
Abstract (down) We have conducted a study of the femtoscopic correlation functions for the D0D*+ and D+D*0 channels that build the Tcc state. We develop a formalism that allows us to factorize the scattering amplitudes outside the integrals in the formulas, and the integrals involve the range of the strong interaction explicitly. For a source of size of 1 fm, we find values for the correlation functions of the D0D*+ and D+D*0 channels at the origin around 30 and 2.5, respectively, and we see these observables converging to unity already for relative momenta of the order of 200 MeV. We conduct tests to see the relevance of the different contributions to the correlation function and find that it mostly provides information on the scattering length, but should the correlation functions be measured with the precision of the latest experiments, the effective range of the D0D*+ could also be obtained.

Abstract (down) We have conducted a model independent analysis of the (K+K0) pair correlation function obtained from ultra high energy pp collisions, with the aim of extracting the information encoded in it related to the KK interaction and the coupled channel pi(+)eta. With the present large errors at small relative (K+K0) momenta, we find that the information obtained about the scattering matrix suffers from large uncertainties. Even then, we are able to show that the data imply the existence of the a(0) resonance, a(0)(980), showing as a strong cusp close to the KK threshold. We also mention that the measurement of the pi(+)eta correlation function will be essential in order to constrain more the information on KK dynamics that can be obtained from correlation functions.
