Batail, L., Davesne, D., Peru, S., Becker, P., Pastore, A., & Navarro, J. (2023). A three-ranged Gogny interaction in touch with pion exchange: promising results to improve infinite matter properties. Eur. Phys. J. A, 59(7), 173–11pp.
Abstract: We suggest a new Gogny-type finite-range effective interaction including a third Gaussian in the central term. Based on simple arguments valid for an arbitrary radial form factor, the three ranges are obtained in connection with physical grounds, relating them to one-boson exchange interactions. Moreover, some parameters of the longest range are fixed through the G-matrix elements of the One Pion Exchange Potential. On top of giving a fairly good description of atomic nuclei properties comparable with other existing parametrisations, the resulting interaction leads to a remarkable improvement of some infinite matter properties that are relevant for astrophysical calculations.

de Anda, F. J., Medina, O., Valle, J. W. F., & Vaquera-Araujo, C. A. (2023). Revamping Kaluza-Klein dark matter in an orbifold theory of flavor. Phys. Rev. D, 108(3), 035046–11pp.
Abstract: We suggest a common origin for dark matter, neutrino mass and family symmetry within the orbifold theory proposed in [Phys. Lett. B 801, 135195 (2020); Phys. Rev. D 101, 116012 (2020)]. Flavor physics is described by an A(4) family symmetry that results naturally from compactification. Weakly interacting massive particle dark matter emerges from the first Kaluza-Klein excitation of the same scalar that drives family symmetry breaking and neutrino masses through the inverse seesaw mechanism. In addition to the “golden” quark-lepton mass relation and predictions for 0 nu beta beta decay, the model provides a good global description of all flavor observables.

Beltran, R., Cepedello, R., & Hirsch, M. (2023). Tree-level UV completions for NRSMEFT d=6 and d=7 operators. J. High Energy Phys., 08(8), 31pp.
Abstract: We study ultra-violet completions for operators in standard model effective field theory extended with right-handed neutrinos (NRSMEFT). Using a diagrammatic method, we generate systematically lists of possible tree-level completions involving scalars, fermions or vectors for all operators at d = 6 and d = 7, which contain at least one right-handed neutrino. We compare our lists of possible UV models to the ones found for pure SMEFT. We also discuss how the observation of LNV processes via NRSMEFT operators at the LHC can be related to Majorana neutrino masses of the standard model neutrinos.

Cepedello, R., Esser, F., Hirsch, M., & Sanz, V. (2023). SMEFT goes dark: Dark Matter models for four-fermion operators. J. High Energy Phys., 09(9), 081–47pp.
Abstract: We study ultra-violet completions for d = 6 four-fermion operators in the standard model effective field theory (SMEFT), focusing on models that contain cold dark matter candidates. Via a diagrammatic method, we generate systematically lists of possible UV completions, with the aim of providing sets of models, which are complete under certain, well specified assumptions. Within these lists of models we rediscover many known DM models, as diverse as R-parity conserving supersymmetry or the scotogenic neutrino mass model. Our lists, however, also contain many new constructions, which have not been studied in the literature so far. We also briefly discuss how our DM models could be constrained by reinterpretations of LHC searches and the prospects for HL-LHC and future lepton colliders.

Alves, J. M., Botella, F. J., Branco, G. C., Cornet-Gomez, F., Nebot, M., & Silva, J. P. (2018). Symmetry constrained two Higgs doublet models. Eur. Phys. J. C, 78(8), 630–17pp.
Abstract: We study two-Higgs-doublet models (2HDM) where Abelian symmetries have been introduced, leading to a drastic reduction in the number of free parameters in the 2HDM. Our analysis is inspired in BGL models, where, as the result of a symmetry of the Lagrangian, there are tree-level scalar mediated Flavour-Changing-Neutral-Currents, with the flavour structure depending only on the CKM matrix. A systematic analysis is done on the various possible schemes, which are classified in different classes, depending on the way the extra symmetries constrain the matrices of couplings defining the flavour structure of the scalar mediated neutral currents. All the resulting flavour textures of the Yukawa couplings are stable under renormalisation since they result from symmetries imposed at the Lagrangian level. We also present a brief phenomenological analysis of the most salient features of each class of symmetry constrained 2HDM.
