  Abstract (up) The production of exclusive gamma gamma -> mu(+)mu(-) events in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV is measured with the ATLAS detector at the LHC, using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.2 fb(-1). The measurement is performed for a dimuon invariant mass of 12 GeV < m(mu+mu-) < 70 GeV. The integrated cross-section is determined within a fiducial acceptance region of the ATLAS detector and differential cross-sections are measured as a function of the dimuon invariant mass. The results are compared to theoretical predictions both with and without corrections for absorptive effects.

  Abstract (up) The production of Z bosons in association with a high-energy photon (Z production) is studied in the neutrino decay channel of the Z boson using pp collisions at =13 TeV. The analysis uses a data sample with an integrated luminosity of 36.1fb(-1) collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC in 2015 and 2016. Candidate Z events with invisible decays of the Z boson are selected by requiring significant transverse momentum (p(T)) of the dineutrino system in conjunction with a single isolated photon with large transverse energy (E-T). The rate of Z production is measured as a function of photon E-T, dineutrino system p(T) and jet multiplicity. Evidence of anomalous triple gauge-boson couplings is sought in Z production with photon E-T greater than 600 GeV. No excess is observed relative to the Standard Model expectation, and upper limits are set on the strength of ZZ and Z couplings

  Abstract (up) The ratio of branching fractions R(D*(-)) = B(B-0 -> D*(-) tau(+)nu(tau))/(B-0 -> D*(-) mu(+)nu(mu)) is measured using a data sample of proton-proton collisions collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1). The tau lepton is reconstructed with three charged pions in the final state. A novel method is used that exploits the different vertex topologies of signal and backgrounds to isolate samples of semitauonic decays of b hadrons with high purity. Using the B-0 -> D*(-) pi(+)pi(-)pi(+) decay as the normalization channel, the ratio B(B-0 -> D*(-) tau(+)nu(tau))/B(B-0 -> D* pi(+)pi(-)pi(+)) is measured to be 1.97 +/- 0.13 +/- 0.18, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. An average of branching fraction measurements for the normalization channel is used to derive B(B-0 -> D*(-) tau(+)nu(tau))(_)= (1.42 +/- 0.094 +/- 0.129 +/- 0.054)%, where the third uncertainty is due to the limited knowledge of B(B-0 -> D*(-) pi(+)pi(-)pi(+)). A test of lepton flavor universality is performed using the well- measured branching fraction B(B-0 -> D*(-) mu(+)nu(mu)) to compute R(D*(-))0 = 0.291 +/- 0.019 +/- 0.026 +/- 0.013, where the third uncertainty originates from the uncertainties on B(B-0 -> D*(-) pi(+)pi(-)pi(+)) and B(B-0 -> D*(-) mu(+)nu(mu)) This measurement is in agreement with the Standard Model prediction and with previous measurements.

The value of (B-0 -> D*(-) iota+ v(iota)) = (1.42 +/- 0.094 +/- 0.129 +/- 0.054)% is obtained, where the third uncertainty is due to the limited knowledge of the branching fraction of the normalization mode. Using the well-measured branching fraction of the B-0 -> D*(-) mu+ v(mu) decay, a value of R(D*(-)) = 0.291 +/- 0.019 +/- 0.026 +/- 0.013 is established, where the third uncertainty is due to the limited knowledge of the branching fractions of the normalization and B-0 -> D*(-) mu+ v(mu) modes.   Abstract (up) The ratios of the branching fractions of the decays do Lambda(+)(c) -> , p pi(-)pi(+), Lambda(+->)(c) pK(-)K(+), and Lambda(+)(c) -> p pi K--(+) with respect to the Cabibbo-favoured Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)pi(+) decay are measured using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb experiment at a 7 TeV centre-of-mass energy and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1): B(Lambda(+)(c) -> p pi(-)pi(+))/B(Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)pi(+)) = (7.44 +/- 0.08 +/- 0.18)%. B(Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)K(+))/B(Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)pi(+) = (1.70 +/- 0.03 +/- 0.03)%, B(Lambda(+)(c) -> p pi(-)pi K-+(+))/B(Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)pi(+) = (0.165 +/- 0.015 +/- 0.005)%, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. These results are the most precise measurements of these quantities to date. When multiplied by the world average value for B(Lambda(+)(c) -> p pi(-)pi(+)), the corresponding branching fractions are B(Lambda(+)(c) -> p pi(-)pi(+) = (4.72 +/- 0.05 +/- 0.11 +/- 0.25) x 10(-3), B(Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)K(+)) = (1.08 +/- 0.02 +/- 0.02 +/- 0.06) x 10(-3), B(Lambda(+)(c) -> , p pi K--(+)) = (1.04 +/- 0.09 +/- 0.03 +/- 0.05) x 10(-4), where the final uncertainty is due to B(Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)pi(+)).
