ATLAS Collaboration(Aad, G. et al), Amos, K. R., Aparisi Pozo, J. A., Bailey, A. J., Cabrera Urban, S., Cardillo, F., et al. (2022). Search for associated production of a Z boson with an invisibly decaying Higgs boson or dark matter candidates root s=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector. Phys. Lett. B, 829, 137066–25pp.
Abstract: A search for invisible decays of the Higgs boson as well as searches for dark matter candidates, produced together with a leptonically decaying Z boson, are presented. The analysis is performed using proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, delivered by the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb(-1) and recorded by the ATLAS experiment. Assuming Standard Model cross-sections for Z H production, the observed (expected) upper limit on the branching ratio of the Higgs boson to invisible particles is found to be 19% (19%) at the 95% confidence level. Exclusion limits are also set for simplified dark matter models and two-Higgs-doublet models with an additional pseudoscalar mediator.

Abstract: A search for K-S(L)(0) -> mu(+) mu(-) mu(+) mu(-) decays is performed using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.1 fb(-1). No evidence for signal is found. The 90% confidence level upper limits are the first set for both decays and are B(K-S(0)) -> mu(+) mu(-) mu(+) mu(-)) < 5.1 x 10(-12) and B(K-L(0))-> mu(+) mu(-) mu(+) mu(-)) < 2.3 x 10(-9).

Abstract: A search for lepton-flavor-violating Z -> e tau and Z -> μtau decays with pp collision data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC is presented. This analysis uses 139 fb(-1) of Run 2 pp collisions at root s = 13 TeV and is combined with the results of a similar ATLAS search in the final state in which the tau lepton decays hadronically, using the same data set as well as Run 1 data. The addition of leptonically decaying tau leptons significantly improves the sensitivity reach for Z -> l tau decays. The Z -> l tau branching fractions are constrained in this analysis to B(Z -> e tau) < 7.0 x 10(-6) and B (Z -> μtau) < 7.2 x 10(-6) at 95% confidence level. The combination with the previously published analyses sets the strongest constraints to date: B(Z -> e tau) < 5.0 x 10(-6) and B(Z -> μtau) < 6.5 x 10(-6) at 95% confidence level.

ATLAS Collaboration(Aad, G. et al), Amos, K. R., Aparisi Pozo, J. A., Bailey, A. J., Bouchhar, N., Cabrera Urban, S., et al. (2023). Search for leptoquarks decaying into the bt final state in pp collisions at √s=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector. J. High Energy Phys., 10(10), 001–55pp.
Abstract: A search for leptoquarks decaying into the b tau final state is performed using Run 2 proton-proton collision data from the Large Hadron Collider, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb(-1) at root s = 13TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector. The benchmark models considered in this search are vector leptoquarks with electric charge of 2/3e and scalar leptoquarks with an electric charge of 4/3e. No significant excess above the Standard Model prediction is observed, and 95% confidence level upper limits are set on the cross-section times branching fraction of leptoquarks decaying into b tau. For the vector leptoquark production two models are considered: the Yang-Mills and Minimal coupling models. In the Yang-Mills (Minimal coupling) scenario, vector leptoquarks with a mass below 1.58 (1.35) TeV are excluded for a gauge coupling of 1.0 and below 2.05 (1.99) TeV for a gauge coupling of 2.5. In the case of scalar leptoquarks, masses below 1.28 (1.53) TeV are excluded for a Yukawa coupling of 1.0 (2.5). Finally, an interpretation of the results with minimal model dependence is performed for each of the signal region categories, and limits on the visible cross-section for beyond the Standard Model processes are provided.

ATLAS Collaboration(Aad, G. et al), Amos, K. R., Aparisi Pozo, J. A., Bailey, A. J., Cabrera Urban, S., Cardillo, F., et al. (2023). Search for light long-lived neutral particles that decay to collimated pairs of leptons or light hadrons in pp collisions at root s=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector. J. High Energy Phys., 06(6), 153–55pp.
Abstract: A search for light long-lived neutral particles with masses in the O(MeV-GeV) range is presented. The analysis targets the production of long-lived dark photons in the decay of a Higgs boson produced via gluon-gluon fusion or in association with a W boson. Events that contain displaced collimated Standard Model fermions reconstructed in the calorimeter or muon spectrometer are selected in 139 fb(-1) of p s = 13TeV pp collision data collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Background estimates for contributions from Standard Model processes and instrumental effects are extracted from data. The observed event yields are consistent with the expected background. Exclusion limits are reported on the production cross-section times branching fraction as a function of the mean proper decay length c tau of the dark photon, or as a function of the dark-photon mass and kinetic mixing parameter that quantifies the coupling between the Standard Model and potential hidden (dark) sectors. A Higgs boson branching fraction above 1% is excluded at 95% CL for a Higgs boson decaying into two dark photons for dark-photon mean proper decay lengths between 10 mm and 250 mm and dark photons with masses between 0.4 GeV and 2 GeV.
