Abstract: The NA48/2 experiment at CERN collected a large sample of charged kaon decays to final states with multiple charged particles in 2003-2004. A new upper limit on the rate of the lepton number violating decay K-+/- -> pi(+/-)mu(+/-)mu(+/-) is reported: B( K-+/- -> pi(+/-)mu(+/-)mu(+/-)) < 8.6 x 10(-11) at 90% CL. Searches for two-body resonances X in K-+/- -> pi μμdecays (such as heavy neutral leptons N-4 and inflatons chi) are also presented. In the absence of signals, upper limits are set on the products of branching fractions B(K-+/- -> μN-+/-(4))B(N-4 -> pi mu) and B(K-+/- ->pi X-+/-)B(X -> mu(+),mu(-)) for ranges of assumed resonance masses and lifetimes. The limits are in the (10(-11),10(-9)) range for resonance lifetimes below 100 ps.

Abstract: The mixing-induced CP-violating phase phi(s) in B-s(0) and (B) over bar (0)(s) decays is measured using the J / psi pi(+)pi(-) final state in data, taken from 3 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity, collected with the LHCb detector in 7 and 8 TeV centre-of-mass pp collisions at the LHC. A time-dependent flavour-tagged amplitude analysis, allowing for direct CP violation, yields a value for the phase phi(s) = 70 +/- 68 +/- 8 mrad. This result is consistent with the Standard Model expectation and previous measurements.

Abstract: The MiniBooNE experiment has reported results from the analysis of v(e) and (v) over bar (e) appearance searches, which show an excess of signal-like events at low reconstructed neutrino energies, with respect to the expected background. A significant component of this background comes from photon emission induced by (anti) neutrino neutral current interactions with nucleons and nuclei. With an improved microscopic model for these reactions, we predict the number and distributions of photon events at the MiniBooNE detector. Our results are compared to the MiniBooNE in situ estimate and to other theoretical approaches. We find that, according to our model, neutral current photon emission from single-nucleon currents is insufficient to explain the events excess observed by MiniBooNE in both neutrino and antineutrino modes.

Abstract: The mediators of neutrino mass generation can provide a probe of neutrino properties at the next round of high-energy hadron (FCC-hh) and lepton colliders (FCC-ee/ILC/CEPC/CLIC). We show how the decays of the Higgs triplet scalars mediating the simplest seesaw mechanism can shed light on the neutrino mass scale and mass-ordering, as well as the atmospheric octant. Four-lepton signatures at the high-energy frontier may provide the discovery-site for charged lepton flavor non-conservation in nature, rather than low-energy intensity frontier experiments.

Abstract: The mass of the Higgs boson is measured in the H -> ZZ* -> 4l and in the H -> gamma gamma decay channels with 36.1 fb(-1) of proton-proton collision data from the Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector in 2015 and 2016. The measured value in the H -> ZZ* -> 4l channel is m(H)(ZZ*) = 124.79 +/- 0.37 GeV, while the measured value in the H -> gamma gamma channel is m(H)(gamma gamma) = 124.93 +/- 0.40 GeV. Combining these results with the ATLAS measurement based on 7 and 8 TeV proton-proton collision data yields a Higgs boson mass of m(H) = 124.97 +/- 0.24 GeV.

Abstract: The mass of the Higgs boson is measured in the H -> Z Z* -> 4l decay channel. The analysis uses proton-proton collision data from the Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector between 2015 and 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb(-1). The measured value of the Higgs boson mass is 124.99 0.18(stat.) +/- 0.04(syst.) GeV. In final states with muons, this measurement benefits from an improved momentum-scale calibration relative to that adopted in previous publications. The measurement also employs an analytic model that takes into account the invariant-mass resolution of the four-lepton system on a per-event basis and the output of a deep neural network discriminating signal from background events. This measurement is combined with the corresponding measurement using 7 and 8 TeV pp collision data, resulting in a Higgs boson mass of 124.94 +/- 0.17(stat.) +/- 0.03(syst.) GeV.

Abstract: The mass of the Higgs boson is measured in the H -> gamma gamma decay channel, exploiting the high resolution of the invariant mass of photon pairs reconstructed from the decays of Higgs bosons produced in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy root s = 13 TeV. The dataset was collected between 2015 and 2018 by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider, and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb(-1). The measured value of the Higgs boson mass is 125.17 +/- 0.11 (stat.) +/- 0.09 (syst.) GeV and is based on an improved energy scale calibration for photons, whose impact on the measurement is about four times smaller than in the previous publication. A combination with the corresponding measurement using 7 and 8 TeV pp collision ATLAS data results in a Higgs boson mass measurement of 125.22 +/- 0.11 (stat.) +/- 0.09 (syst.) GeV. With an uncertainty of 1.1 per mille, this is currently the most precise measurement of the mass of the Higgs boson from a single decay channel.

Abstract: The mass matrix for eta-eta' is derived in the flavor basis at O(p(4)) of the chiral Lagrangian using the large N approximation. Under certain assumptions, the mixing angle phi = 41.4 degrees and the decay constants ratio f(K)/f(pi) = 1.15 are calculated in agreement with the data. It appears that the FKS scheme arises as a special limit of the chiral Lagrangian. Their mass matrix is obtained without the hypothesis on the mixing pattern of the decay constants.

Abstract: The magnetic dipole moments (mu) of Tl-209(g)(N =128) and Tl-207(m)(N = 126) have been measured for the first time using the in -source laser resonance -ionization spectroscopy technique with the Laser Ion Source and Trap (LIST) at ISOLDE (CERN). The application of the LIST suppresses the usually overwhelming background of the isobaric francium isotopes and allows access to heavy thallium isotopes with >207. The self -consistent theory of finite Fermi systems based on the energy density functional by Fayans et al. well describes the N dependence of μfor 1/2(+) thallium ground states, as well as μfor the 11/2(-) isomeric states in europium, gold and thallium isotopes. The inclusion of particle-vibration coupling leads to a better agreement between the theory and experiment for mu(Tl-g , I-pi = 1/2(+)). It is shown that beyond mean-field contributions tocannot be neglected at least for thallium isotopes with I-pi = 1/2(+).

Abstract: The low-lying structures of the midshell vg(9/2) Ni isotopes Ni-72 and Ni-74 have been investigated at the RIBF facility in RIKEN within the EURICA collaboration. Previously unobserved low-lying states were accessed for the first time following beta decay of the mother nuclei Co-72 and Co-74. As a result, we provide a complete picture in terms of the seniority scheme up to the first (8(+)) levels for both nuclei. The experimental results are compared to shell-model calculations in order to define to what extent the seniority quantum number is preserved in the first neutron g(9/2) shell. We find that the disappearance of the seniority isomerism in the (8(1)(+)) states can be explained by a lowering of the seniority-four (6(+)) levels as predicted years ago. For Ni-74, the internal de-excitation pattern of the newly observed (6(2)(+)) state supports a restoration of the normal seniority ordering up to spin J = 4. This property, unexplained by the shell-model calculations, is in agreement with a dominance of the single-particle spherical regime near Ni-78.
