The beta-delayed gamma-ray spectroscopy of neutron-rich Ag-123,Ag-325 isotopes is investigated at the Radioactive Isotope Beam Factory of RIKEN, and the long-predicted 1/2(-) beta-emitting isomers in Ag-123,Ag-325 are identified for the first time. With the new experimental results, the systematic trend of energy spacing between the lowest 9/2(+) and 1/2(-) levels is extended in Ag isotopes up to N = 78, providing a clear signal for the reduction of the Z = 40 subshell gap in Ag towards N = 82. Shell-model calculations with the state-of-the-art V-MU plus M3Y spin-orbit interaction give a satisfactory description of the low-lying states in Ag-123,Ag-325. The tensor force is found to play a crucial role in the evolution of the size of the Z = 40 subshell gap. The observed inversion of the single-particle levels around Ag-123 can be well interpreted in terms of the monopole shift of the pi 1g(9/2) orbitals mainly caused by the increasing occupation of nu 1h(11/2) orbitals. |

The Bayesian approach for feedforward neural networks has been applied to the extraction of the nucleon axial form factor from the neutrino-deuteron-scattering data measured by the Argonne National Laboratory bubble-chamber experiment. This framework allows to perform a model-independent determination of the axial form factor from data. When the low 0.05 < Q(2) < 0.10-GeV2 data are included in the analysis, the resulting axial radius disagrees with available determinations. Furthermore, a large sensitivity to the corrections from the deuteron structure is obtained. In turn, when the low-Q(2) region is not taken into account with or without deuteron corrections, no significant deviations from previous determinations have been observed. A more accurate determination of the nucleon axial form factor requires new precise measurements of neutrino-induced quasielastic scattering on hydrogen and deuterium. |

The B0 K0K0 and B0 s K0K0 decays are studied using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb. An untagged and timeintegrated amplitude analysis of B0 (s) (K+)(K) decays in two-body invariant mass regions of 150MeV/c2 around the K0 mass is performed. A stronger longitudinal polarisation fraction in the B0 K0K0 decay, fL = 0 : 724 0 : 051 (stat) 0 : 016 (syst), is observed as compared to fL = 0 : 240 0 : 031 (stat) 0 : 025 (syst) in the B0 s K0K0 decay. The ratio of branching fractions of the two decays is measured and used to determine B (B0 K0K0) = (8 : 0 0 : 9 (stat) 0 : 4 (syst)) x 10(-7). |

The ANTARES neutrino telescope has an energy threshold of a few tens of GeV. This allows to study the phenomenon of atmospheric muon neutrino disappearance due to neutrino oscillations. In a similar way, constraints on the 3+1 neutrino model, which foresees the existence of one sterile neutrino, can be inferred. Using data collected by the ANTARES neutrino telescope from 2007 to 2016, a new measurement of m 2 and (23) has been performed which is consistent with world best-fit values and constraints on the 3+1 neutrino model have been derived. |

The analog signals generated in the read-out electronics of particle detectors are shaped prior to the digitization in order to improve the signal to noise ratio (SNR). The real amplitude of the analog signal is then obtained using digital filters, which provides information about the energy deposited in the detector. The classical digital filters have a good performance in ideal situations with Gaussian electronic noise and no pulse shape distortion. However, high-energy particle colliders, such as the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, can produce multiple simultaneous events, which produce signal pileup. The performance of classical digital filters deteriorates in these conditions since the signal pulse shape gets distorted. In addition, this type of experiments produces a high rate of collisions, which requires high throughput data acquisitions systems. In order to cope with these harsh requirements, new read-out electronics systems are based on high-performance FPGAs, which permit the utilization of more advanced real-time signal reconstruction algorithms. In this paper, a deep learning method is proposed for real-time signal reconstruction in high pileup particle detectors. The performance of the new method has been studied using simulated data and the results are compared with a classical FIR filter method. In particular, the signals and FIR filter used in the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter are used as benchmark. The implementation, resources usage and performance of the proposed Neural Network algorithm in FPGA are also presented. |
