Abstract: A measurement of CP-violating observables is performed using the decays B-+/- -> DK +/- and B-+/- -> D pi(+/-), where the D meson is reconstructed in one of the self-conjugate three-body final states K-S(0)pi(+)pi(-) and (KSK+K-)-K-0 (commonly denoted K(S)(0)h(+)h(-)). The decays are analysed in bins of the D-decay phase space, leading to a measurement that is independent of the modelling of the D-decay amplitude. The observables are inter- preted in terms of the CKM angle gamma. Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1) collected in proton-proton collisions at centre-of mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV with the LHCb experiment, gamma is measured to be (68.7(-5.1)(+5.2))degrees. The hadronic parameters r(B)(DK), r(B)(D pi), delta(DK)(B), and delta(D pi)(B), which are the ratios and strong-phase differences of the suppressed and favoured B-+/- decays, are also reported.

Abstract: A measurement of D-0 meson production by the LHCb experiment in its fixed-target configuration is presented. The production of D-0 mesons is studied with a beam of 2.5 TeV protons colliding on a gaseous neon target at rest, corresponding to a nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of root s(NN) = 68.5 GeV. The sum of the D-0 and (D-0) over bar production cross-section in pNe collisions in the centre-of-mass rapidity range y(star) is an element of[-2.29, 0] is found to be sigma(y star is an element of[-2.29, 0])(D0) = 48.2 +/- 0.3 +/- 4.5 μb/nucleon where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The D-0 – (D-0) over bar production asymmetry is also evaluated and suggests a trend towards negative values at large negative y(star). The considered models do not account precisely for all the features observed in the LHCb data, but theoretical predictions including 1% intrinsic charm and 10% recombination contributions better describe the data than the other models considered.

Abstract: A measurement of four branching-fraction ratios for three-body decays of B mesons involving two open-charm hadrons in the final state is presented. Run 1 and Run 2 pp collision data are used, recorded by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies 7, 8, and 13 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). Abstract: A measurement of mixing and CP violation in neutral charm mesons is performed using data reconstructed in proton-proton collisions collected by the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb(-1). A total of 30.6 million D0 -> K-s(0)pi(+)pi(-) decays are analyzed using a method optimized for the measurement of the mass difference between neutral charmmeson eigenstates. Allowing for CP violation in mixing and in the interference between mixing and decay, the mass and decay-width differences are measured to be x(CP) = [3.97 +/- 0.46(stat) +/- 0.29(syst)] x 10(-3) and y(CP) = [4.59 +/- 1.20(stat) +/- 0.85(syst)] x 10(-3), respectively. The CP-violating parameters are measured as Delta x= [-0.27 +/- 0.18(stat)+/- 0.01(syst)] x 10 (-3) and Delta y = [0.20 +/- 0.36(stat) +/- 0.13(syst)] x 10(-3). This is the first observation of a nonzero mass difference in the D-0 meson system, with a significance exceeding seven standard deviations. The data are consistent with CP symmetry and improve existing constraints on the associated parameters.

Abstract: A measurement of the branching fraction of the decay B-s(0) -> (KSKS0)-K-0 is performed using proton- proton – collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb experiment between 2011 and 2016. The branching fraction is determined to be B(B-s(0) -> (KSKS0)-K-0) = [8.3 +/- 1.6(stat) +/- 0.9(syst) +/- 0.8(norm) +/- 0.3(f(s)/f(d))] x 10(-6), where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third and fourth are due to uncertainties on the branching fraction of the normalization mode B-0 -> phi K(S)(0 )and the ratio of hadronization fractions f(s)/f(d). This is the most precise measurement of this branching fraction to date. Furthermore, a measurement of the branching fraction of the decay B-s(0) -> (KSKS0)-K-0 is performed relative to that of the B-s(0) -> (KSKS0)-K-0 channel, and is found to be B(B-s(0) -> (KSKS0)-K-0)/B(B-s(0) -> (KSKS0)-K-0) = [7.5 +/- 3.1(stat) 0.5(syst) +/- 0.3(f(s)/f(d))1 x 10(-2).
