Abstract: The first measurements of the forward-backward asymmetry of the dimuon pair (A(FB)), the triple-product asymmetry (A(2 phi)), and the charge-parity-conjugation asymmetry (A(CP)), in D-0 -> pi(+) pi(-) mu(+) mu(-) and -> D-0 -> K+ K- mu(+) mu(-) decays are reported. They are performed using data from proton-proton collisions collected with the LHCb experiment from 2011 to 2016, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 5 fb(-1). The asymmetries are measured to be A(FB) (D-0 -> pi(+) pi(-) mu(+) mu(-)) = (3.3 +/- 3.7 +/- 0.6)%, A(2 phi) (D-0 -> pi(+) pi(-) mu(+) mu(-)) = (-0.6 +/- 3.7 +/- 0.6)%, A(CP) (D-0 -> pi(+) pi(-) mu(+) mu(-)) = (4.9 +/- 3.8 +/- 0.7)%, A(FB) (D-0 -> K+ K- mu(+) mu(-)) = (0 +/- 11 +/- 2 +/-)%, A(2 phi) (D-0 -> K+ K- mu(+) mu(-)) = (9 +/- 11 +/- 1)%, A(CP) (D-0 -> K+ K- mu(+) mu(-)) = (0 +/- 11 +/- 2)% where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The asymmetries are also measured as a function of the dimuon invariant mass. The results are consistent with the standard model predictions.

Abstract: The first observation of exotic states with a new quark content ccus decaying to the J/Psi K+ final state is reported with high significance from an amplitude analysis of the B+-> J/ Psi phi K+ decay. The analysis is carried out using proton-proton collision data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb- 1 collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The most significant state, Z(cs)(4000)+, has a mass of 4003 +/- 6 (-14) (+4) MeV, a width of 131 +/- 15 +/- 26 MeV, and spin parity J(P) = 1(+), where the quoted uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. A new 1(+) X(4685) state decaying to the J/Psi phi final state is also observed with high significance. In addition, the four previously reported J/Psi phi states are confirmed and two more exotic states, Z(cs) (4220) (+) and X(4630), are observed with significance exceeding 5 standard deviations.

Abstract: The first observation of the B-s(0) -> (D) over bar K-0 (+) K- decay is reported, together with the most precise branching fraction measurement of the mode B-0 -> (D) over bar K-0 (+) K- The results are obtained from an analysis of pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1). The data were collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, The branching fraction of the B-0 -> (D) over bar K-0 (+) K- decay is measured relative to that of the decay B-0 -> (D) over bar (0)pi (+) pi(-) to be B(B-0 -> (D) over bar K-0 (+) K-)/B(B-0 -> (D) over bar (0)pi (+) pi(-)) =(69 +/- 0.4 +/- 0.3)%, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The measured branching fraction of the B-s(0) -> (D) over bar K-0 (+) K- decay mode relative to that of the corresponding B-0 decay is B(B-0 -> (D) over bar K-0 (+) K-)/B(B-0 -> (D) over bar K-0 (+) K-) = (93.0 +/- 809 +/- 6.9)%. Using the known branching fraction of B-0 -> (D) over bar (0)pi (+) pi(-), the values of B-0 -> (D) over bar K-0 (+) K- = (6.1 +/- 0.4 +/- 0.3 +/- 0.3) x 10(-5) and B(B-s(0) -> (D) over bar K-0 (+) K- = (5.7 +/- 0.5 +/- 0.4 +/- 0.5) x 10(-5) are obtained, where the third uncertainties arise from the branching fraction of the decay modes B-0 -> (D) over bar (0)pi (+) pi(-) and B-0 -> (D) over bar K-0 (+) K-, respectively.

Abstract: The first observation of the B-s(0) -> (D) over bar*(0)phi decay is reported, with a significance of more than seven standard deviations, from an analysis of pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb -1 , collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The branching fraction is measured relative to that of the topologically similar decay B-0 -> (D) over bar (0)pi(+)pi(-) and is found to be B(B-s(0) -> (D) over bar*(0)phi) = (3.7 +/- 05 +/- 0.3 +/- 0.2) x 10(-5), where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic, and the third from the branching fraction of the B-0 -> (D) over bar (0)pi(+)pi(-) decay. The fraction of longitudinal polarization in this decay is measured to be f(L) = (73 +/- 15 +/- 4)%. The most precise determination of the branching fraction for the B-s(0) -> (D) over bar (0)phi decay is also obtained, B(B-s(0) -> (D) over bar (0)phi) = (3.0 +/- 0.3 +/- 0.2 +/- 0.2) x 10(-5). An upper limit, B(B-s(0) -> (D) over bar (0)phi) < 2.0 (2.3) x 10(-6) at 90% (95%) confidence level is set. A constraint on the omega – phi mixing angle delta is set at vertical bar delta vertical bar < 5.2 degrees (5.5 degrees) at 90% (95%) confidence level.

LHCb Collaboration(Aaij, R. et al), Garcia Martin, L. M., Henry, L., Martinez-Vidal, F., Oyanguren, A., Remon Alepuz, C., et al. (2017). Observation of D-0 meson decays to pi(+) pi(-) mu(+) mu(-) and K+ K- mu(+) mu(-) final states. Phys. Rev. Lett., 119(18), 181805–10pp.
Abstract: The first observation of the D-0 -> pi(+) pi(-) mu(+) mu(-) and D-0 -> K+ K- mu(+) mu(-) decays is reported using a sample of proton-proton collisions collected by LHCb at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, and corresponding to 2 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity. The corresponding branching fractions are measured using as normalization the decay D-0 -> K- pi(+) [mu(+) mu(-)](rho 0/omega), where the two muons are consistent with coming from the decay of a rho(0) or omega meson. The results are B(D-0 -> pi(+) pi(-) mu(+) mu(-)) = (9.64 +/- 0.48 +/- 0.51 +/- 0.97) x 10(-7) and B(D-0 -> K+ K- mu(+) mu(-)) = (1.54 +/- 0.27 +/- 0.09 +/- 0.16) x 10(-7), where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to the limited knowledge of the normalization branching fraction. The dependence of the branching fraction on the dimuon mass is also investigated.
