Title B meson decay constants f(Bc), f(Bs) and f(B) from QCD sum rules Type Journal Article
Year 2014 Publication Journal of High Energy Physics Abbreviated Journal J. High Energy Phys.
Volume 07 Issue 7 Pages 032 - 16pp
Keywords Sum Rules; QCD
Abstract (down) Finite energy QCD sum rules with Legendre polynomial integration kernels are used to determine the heavy meson decay constant f(Bc), and revisit f(B) and f(Bs). Results exhibit excellent stability in a wide range of values of the integration radius in the complex squared energy plane, and of the order of the Legendre polynomial. Results are f(Bc) = 528 +/- 19 MeV, f(B) = 186 +/- 14 MeV, and f(Bs) = 222 +/- 12 MeV.

Title Evidence for the decay B-c(+) -> J/psi 3 pi(+)2 pi(-) Type Journal Article
Year 2014 Publication Journal of High Energy Physics Abbreviated Journal J. High Energy Phys.
Volume 05 Issue 5 Pages 148 - 17pp
Keywords Hadron-Hadron Scattering; QCD; Branching fraction; B physics; Flavor physics
Abstract (down) Evidence is presented for the decay B-c(+) -> J/psi 3 pi(+)2 pi(-) using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1), collected with the LHCb detector. A signal yield of 32 +/- 8 decays is found with a significance of 4.5 standard deviations. The ratio of the branching fraction of the B-c(+) -> J/psi 3 pi(+)2 pi(-) decay to that of the B-c(+) -> J/psi pi(+) decay is measured to be B(B-c(+) -> J/psi 3 pi(+)2 pi(-))/B(B-c(+) -> J/psi pi(+)) = 1.74 +/- 0.44 +/- 0.24, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic.

Title Measurement of four-jet differential cross sections in root s=8 TeV proton-proton collisions using the ATLAS detector Type Journal Article
Year 2015 Publication Journal of High Energy Physics Abbreviated Journal J. High Energy Phys.
Volume 12 Issue 12 Pages 105 - 76pp
Keywords Jet physics; Hadron-Hadron scattering; QCD
Abstract (down) Differential cross sections for the production of at least four jets have been measured in proton-proton collisions at root s = 8 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider using the ATLAS detector. Events are selected if the four anti-k(t) R = 0.4 jets with the largest transverse momentum (p(T)) within the rapidity range vertical bar y vertical bar < 2 : 8 are well separated (Delta R-4j(min) > 0.65), all have p(T) > 64 GeV, and include at least one jet with p(T) > 100 GeV. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb(-1). The cross sections, corrected for detector effects, are compared to leading-order and next-to-leading-order calculations as a function of the jet momenta, invariant masses, minimum and maximum opening angles and other kinematic variables.

Title Study of the Bose-Einstein correlations of same-sign pions in proton-lead collisions Type Journal Article
Year 2023 Publication Journal of High Energy Physics Abbreviated Journal J. High Energy Phys.
Volume 09 Issue 9 Pages 172 - 29pp
Keywords Hadron-Hadron Scattering; Particle Correlations and Fluctuations; QCD
Abstract (down) Correlations of same-sign charged pions are analysed using proton-lead collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of 5.02TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.06 nb(-1). Bose-Einstein correlations are observed in the form of an enhancement of pair production for same-sign charged pions with a small four-momentum difference. The dependence of the correlation radius and the intercept parameter on the reconstructed charged-particle multiplicity is investigated. The measured correlation radii scale linearly with the cube root of the reconstructed charged-particle multiplicity, being compatible with predictions of hydrodynamic models on the collision system evolution.

Title Study of coherent J/psi production in lead-lead collisions at root S-NN=5 TeV Type Journal Article
Year 2022 Publication Journal of High Energy Physics Abbreviated Journal J. High Energy Phys.
Volume 07 Issue 7 Pages 117 - 19pp
Keywords Heavy Ion Experiments; Particle and Resonance Production; QCD; Quarkonium; Relativistic Heavy Ion Physics
Abstract (down) Coherent production of J/psi mesons is studied in ultraperipheral lead-lead collisions at a nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of 5 TeV, using a data sample collected by the LHCb experiment corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 10 μb(-1). The J/psi mesons are reconstructed in the dimuon final state and are required to have transverse momentum below 1 GeV. The cross-section within the rapidity range of 2.0 < y < 4.5 is measured to be 4.45 +/- 0.24 +/- 0.18 +/- 0.58 mb, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third originates from the luminosity determination. The cross-section is also measured in J/psi rapidity intervals. The results are compared to predictions from phenomenological models.
