Abstract ![sorted by Abstract field, descending order (down)](img/sort_desc.gif) |
We perform a study of the B-(*), D-(*) scmileptonic decays, using a differcnt mcthod than in conventional approaches, where the matrix elements of the weak operators are evaluated and a detailed spin-angular momentum algebra is performed to obtain very simple expressions at the end for the different decay modes. Using only one experimental decay rate in the B or D sectors, the rates for the rest of decay modes are predicted and thcy arc in good agrcement with experiment. Somc discrepancies arc observed in the tau dccay mode for which we find an explanation. We perform evaluations for B and D' decay rates that can be used in future measurements, now possible in the LHCb Collaboration. |

Abstract ![sorted by Abstract field, descending order (down)](img/sort_desc.gif) |
We perform a study of the (B*+B0), (BB+)-B-*0 correlation functions using an extension of the local hidden gauge approach which provides the interaction from the exchange of light vector mesons and gives rise to a bound state of these components in I = 0 with a binding energy of about 21 MeV. After that, we face the inverse problem of determining the low energy observables, scattering length and effective range for each channel, the possible existence of a bound state, and, if found, the couplings of such a state to each (B*+B0), (BB+)-B-*0 component as well as the molecular probabilities of each of the channels. We use the bootstrap method to determine these magnitudes and find that, with errors in the correlation function typical of present experiments, we can determine all these magnitudes with acceptable precision. In addition, the size of the source function of the experiment from where the correlation functions are measured can be also determined with a high precision. |

Abstract ![sorted by Abstract field, descending order (down)](img/sort_desc.gif) |
We perform a reanalysis of the energy levels obtained in a recent lattice QCD simulation, from where the existence of bound states of KD and KD* are induced and identified with the narrow D-s0*(2317) and D-s1*(2460) resonances. The reanalysis is done in terms of an auxiliary potential, employing a single-channel basis KD(*()), and a two-channel basis KD(*()), eta D-s(()*()). By means of an extended Luscher method we determine poles of the continuum t-matrix, bound by about 40 MeV with respect to the KD and KD* thresholds, which we identify with the D-s0*(2317) and D-s1*(2460) resonances. Using a sum rule that reformulates Weinberg compositeness condition we can determine that the state D-s0*(2317) contains a KD component in an amount of about 70%, while the state D-s1*(2460) contains a similar amount of KD*. We argue that the present lattice simulation results do not still allow us to determine which are the missing channels in the bound state wave functions and we discuss the necessary information that can lead to answer this question. |

Abstract ![sorted by Abstract field, descending order (down)](img/sort_desc.gif) |
We perform a fit to the LHCb data on the T-cc(3875) state in order to determine its nature. We use a general framework that allows to have the (DD & lowast;+)-D-0, (D+D & lowast;0) components forming a molecular state, as well as a possible nonmolecular state or contributions from missing coupled channels. From the fits to the data we conclude that the state observed is clearly of molecular nature from the (DD & lowast;+)-D-0, (D+D & lowast;0) components and the possible contribution of a nonmolecular state or missing channels is smaller than 3%, compatible with zero. We also determine that the state has isospin I=0 with a minor isospin breaking from the different masses of the channels involved, and the probabilities of the (DD & lowast;+)-D-0, (D+D & lowast;0) channels are of the order of 69% and 29% with uncertainties of 1%. The differences between these probabilities should not be interpreted as a measure of the isospin violation. Due to the short range of the strong interaction where the isospin is manifested, the isospin nature is provided by the couplings of the state found to the (DD & lowast;+)-D-0, (D+D & lowast;0) components, and our results for these couplings indicate that we have an I=0 state with a very small isospin breaking. We also find that the potential obtained provides a repulsive interaction in I=1, preventing the formation of an I=1 state, in agreement with what is observed in the experiment. |

Abstract ![sorted by Abstract field, descending order (down)](img/sort_desc.gif) |
We perform a calculation of the strong interaction effects between the B and D mesons in the B -> D nu l reaction, as a crossing process of reactions with BD in the final state, where the strong interaction between the mesons leads to a bound BD state. We find corrections to the tree level amplitude of the order of 15-25%. We further see the effect of the corrections studied in the R-D ratio for the rates of B -> D nu and B. D decays and find corrections of the order of 10%. Given the claims of 1.5% precision in this ratio from fits to data within the standardmodel, any theoretical model aiming at describing this ratio within the same precision must take into account the corrections described in the present work. |
