We look for events with a single high-energy photon and a large missing momentum and energy, consistent with production of a spin-1 particle A{\textquoteright} through the process e(+)e(-) -> gamma A{\textquoteright}; A{\textquoteright} -> invisible. Such particles, referred to as {\textquoteleft}{\textquoteleft}dark photons,{\textquoteright}{\textquoteright} are motivated by theories applying a U(1) gauge symmetry to dark matter. We find no evidence for such processes and set 90{\%} confidence level upper limits on the coupling strength of A{\textquoteright} to e(+)e(-) in the mass range m(A{\textquoteright}) <= 8 GeV. In particular, our limits exclude the values of the A{\textquoteright} coupling suggested by the dark-photon interpretation of the muon (g -- 2)(mu) anomaly, as well as a broad range of parameters for the dark-sector models.", optnote="WOS:000411996200004", optnote="exported from refbase (https://references.ific.uv.es/refbase/show.php?record=3315), last updated on Tue, 17 Oct 2017 12:38:58 +0000", issn="0031-9007", doi="10.1103/PhysRevLett.119.131804", opturl="http://arxiv.org/abs/1702.03327", opturl="https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.119.131804", archivePrefix="arXiv", eprint="1702.03327", language="English" }
