Here, we discuss the prospects of searching for sterile neutrinos at the LHC using displaced vertices. Two different cases are discussed: (i) the standard model extended with sterile neutrinos, and (ii) right-handed neutrinos in a left-right symmetric extension of the standard model. A dedicated displaced vertex search will allow us to probe parts of the parameter space not accessible to other searches, but both cases will require a large luminosity.", optnote="WOS:000334314500002", optnote="exported from refbase (https://references.ific.uv.es/refbase/show.php?record=1756), last updated on Fri, 16 May 2014 12:06:07 +0000", issn="1550-7998", doi="10.1103/PhysRevD.89.073005", opturl="http://arxiv.org/abs/1312.2900", opturl="https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.89.073005", archivePrefix="arXiv", eprint="1312.2900", language="English" }
