| Abstract |
The first observation of the suppressed semileptonic B-s(0) -> K-mu(+)nu(mu) decay is reported. Using a data sample recorded in pp collisions in 2012 with the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 fb(-1), the branching fraction B(B-s(0) -> K-mu(+)nu(mu)) is measured to be [1.06 +/- 0.05(stat) +/- 0.08(syst)] x 10(-4), where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second one represents the combined systematic uncertainties. The decay B-s(0) -> D-s(-)mu(+)nu(mu), where D-s(-) is reconstructed in the final state K+K-pi(-), is used as a normalization channel to minimize the experimental systematic uncertainty. Theoretical calculations on the form factors of the B-s(0) -> K- and B-s(0) -> D-s(-) transitions are employed to determine the ratio of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements vertical bar V-ub vertical bar/vertical bar V-cb vertical bar at low and high B-s(0) -> K- momentum transfer. |

| Abstract |
A time-dependent analysis of the B-s(0) -> phi gamma decay rate is performed to determine the CP -violating observables S-phi gamma and C-phi gamma and the mixing-induced observable A(phi gamma)(Delta). The measurement is based on a sample of pp collision data recorded with the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1) at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The measured values are S-phi gamma = 0.43 +/- 0.30 +/- 0.11, C-phi gamma = 0.11 +/- 0.29 +/- 0.11, and A(phi gamma)(Delta) = -0.67(-0.41)(+0.37) +/- 0.17, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This is the first measurement of the observables S and C in radiative B-s(0) decays. The results are consistent with the standard model predictions. |

| Abstract |
The substructure of jets in quantum chromodynamics (QCD) has garnered significant attention with the advent of infrared- and collinear-safe clustering algorithms and observables. A key question emerging from these studies is how in-jet emissions at soft and hard energy scales, across collinear and wide angles relative to the emitter, differ with the mass of the emitting parton. The Lund jet plane (LJP) is a perturbatively well-defined substructure observable that maps the radiation pattern of jets onto a plane, visually distinguishing emissions with different kinematic properties. Comparing LJP for jets containing hadrons of low versus high mass enables the testing of QCD splitting functions from first-principles calculations across both soft and hard regimes and at different radiation angles. This article presents the first measurement of the LJP for light-quark-enriched and beauty-initiated jets at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV at LHCb. This marks the first direct observation of the dead-cone effect in beauty-quark jets, measured in the collinear region of the LJP. |

| Abstract |
A search for the lepton-flavor violating decays B-s(0) -> phi mu(+/-)tau(-/+) is presented, using a sample of proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, collected with the LHCb detector and corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). The tau leptons are selected using decays with three charged pions. No significant excess is observed, and an upper limit on the branching fraction is determined to be B(B-s(0) -> phi mu(+/-)tau(-/+)) < 1.0 x 10(-5) at 90% confidence level. |

| Abstract |
A search for time-dependent violation of the charge-parity symmetry in D-0 -> K+K- and D-0 -> pi(+)pi(-) decays is performed at the LHCb experiment using proton-proton collision data recorded from 2015 to 2018 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6 fb(-1). The D-0 meson is required to originate from a D*(2010)(+) -> D-0 pi(+) decay, such that its flavor at production is identified by the charge of the accompanying pion. The slope of the time-dependent asymmetry of the decay rates of D-0 and (D) over bar (0) mesons into the final states under consideration is measured to be Delta YK+K- = (-2.3 +/- 1.5 +/- 0.3) x 10(-40), Delta Y pi(+)pi(-) = (-4.0 +/- 2.8 +/- 0.4) x 10(-4), where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. These results are compatible with the conservation of the charge-parity symmetry at the level of 2 standard deviations and improve the precision by nearly a factor of 2. |

| Abstract |
The first observations of B-0 -> (D) over bar*(2007)K-0(+)pi(-) and B-s(0) -> (D) over bar*(2007)K-0(-)pi(+) decays are presented, and their branching fractions relative to that of the B ->( D) over bar* (2007)(0)pi(+)pi(-) decay are reported. These modes can potentially be used to investigate the spectroscopy of charm and charm-strange resonances and to determine the angle gamma of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa unitarity triangle. It is also important to understand them as a source of potential background in determinations of gamma from B+ -> DK+ and B-0 -> DK+pi(-) decays. The analysis is based on a sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb(-1 )of proton-proton collision data at 13 TeV center-of-mass energy recorded with the LHCb detector. The (D) over bar*(2007)(0) mesons are fully reconstructed in the (D) over bar (0)pi(0) and (D) over bar (0)gamma channels with the (D) over bar (0) -> K+pi(-) decay. A novel weighting method is used to subtract background while simultaneously applying an event-by-event efficiency correction to account for resonant structures in the decays. |

| Abstract |
The element vertical bar V-cb vertical bar of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix is measured using semileptonic B-s(0) decays produced in proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1). Rates of B-s0 -> D-s(-) mu(+)nu(mu) and B-s0 -> D-s*(-) mu(+)nu(mu) decays are analyzed using hadronic form-factor parametrizations derived either by Caprini, Lellouch and Neubert (CLN) or by Boyd, Grinstein and Lebed (BGL). The measured values of vertical bar V-cb vertical bar are (41.4 +/- 0.6 +/- 0.9 +/- 1.2) x 10(-3) and (42.3 +/- 0.8 +/- 0.9 +/- 1.2) x 10(-3) in the CLN and BGL parametrization, respectively. The first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic, and the third is due to the external inputs used in the measurement. These results are in agreement with those obtained from decays of B+ and B-0 mesons. They are the first determinations of vertical bar V-cb vertical bar at a hadron-collider experiment and the first using B-s(0) meson decays. |

| Abstract |
A sample of pp collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.5 fb(-1) and collected by the LHCb experiment during LHC Run 2, is used to measure the ratio of the lifetime of the Xi(-)(b) baryon to that of the A(b)(0) baryon, r(tau) equivalent to tau(Xi b-)/tau(Ab0). The value r(tau)= 1.076 +/- 0.013 +/- 0.006 is obtained, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This value is averaged with the corresponding value from Run 1 to obtain r(tau)(Rrun 1,2) = 1.078 +/- 0.012 +/- 0.007. Multiplying by the world -average value of the A(b)(0) lifetime yields r(Xi b-)(Rrun 1,2) = 1.578 +/- 0.018 +/- 0.010 +/- 0.011 ps, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to the limited knowledge of the A(b)(0), lifetime. This measurement improves the precision of the current world average of the Xi(-)(b) lifetime by about a factor of 2, and is in good agreement with the most recent theoretical predictions. |
