Abstract |
Within the framework of the μnu SSM, a displaced dilepton signal is expected at the LHC from the decay of a tau left sneutrino as the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) with a mass in the range 45-100 GeV. We compare the predictions of this scenario with the ATLAS search for long-lived particles using displaced lepton pairs in pp collisions, considering an optimization of the trigger requirements by means of a high level trigger that exploits tracker information. The analysis is carried out in the general case of three families of right-handed neutrino superfields, where all the neutrinos get contributions to their masses at tree level. To analyze the parameter space, we sample the μnu SSM for a tau left sneutrino LSP with proper decay length c tau>0.1mm using a likelihood data-driven method, and paying special attention to reproduce the current experimental data on neutrino and Higgs physics, as well as flavor observables. The sneutrino is special in the μnu SSM since its couplings have to be chosen so that the neutrino oscillation data are reproduced. We find that important regions of the parameter space can be probed at the LHC run 3. |

Abstract |
As we anticipate the first results of the 2016 run, we assess the discovery potential of the LHC to “natural supersymmetry.” To begin with, we explore the region of the model parameter space that can be excluded with various center-of-mass energies (13 TeV and 14 TeV) and different luminosities (20 fb(-1), 100 fb(-1), 300 fb(-1) and 3000 fb(-1)). We find that the bounds at 95% C.L. on stops vary from m((t1) over tilde) greater than or similar to 800 GeV expected this summer to m((t1) over tilde) greater than or similar to 1500 GeV at the end of the high luminosity run, while gluino bounds are expected to range from m((g) over tilde) greater than or similar to 1700 GeV to m((g) over tilde) greater than or similar to 2500 GeV over the same time period. However, more pessimistically, we find that if no signal begins to appear this summer, only a very small region of parameter space can be discovered with 5 sigma significance. For this conclusion to change, we find that both theoretical and systematic uncertainties will need to be significantly reduced. |

Abstract |
Motivated by the recent diphoton excess reported by both the ATLAS and CMS collaborations, we provide a model-independent combination of diphoton results obtained at root s = 8 and 13 TeV at the LHC. We consider resonant s-channel production of a spin-0 and spin-2 particle with a mass of 750 GeV that subsequently decays to two photons. The size of the excess reported by ATLAS appears to be in a slight tension with other measurements under the spin-2 particle hypothesis. |

Abstract |
Motivated by the recent diphoton excesses reported by both ATLAS and CMS collaborations, we suggest that a new heavy spinless particle is produced in gluon fusion at the LHC and decays to a couple of lighter pseudoscalars which then decay to photons. The new resonances could arise from a new strongly interacting sector and couple to Standard Model gauge bosons only via the corresponding Wess-Zumino-Witten anomaly. We present a detailed recast of the newest 13 TeV data from ATLAS and CMS together with the 8 TeV data to scan the consistency of the parameter space for those resonances. |

Abstract |
In this paper we investigate the (g – 2)(mu) discrepancy in the context of the R-parity conserving next-to minimal supersymmetric Standard Model plus right-handed neutrinos superfields. The model has the ability to reproduce neutrino physics data and includes the interesting possibility to have the right-handed sneutrino as the lightest supersymmetric particle and a viable dark matter candidate. Since right-handed sneutrinos are singlets, no new contributions for delta a(mu) with respect to the MSSM and NMSSM are present. However, the possibility to have the right-handed sneutrino as the lightest supersymmetric particle opens new ways to escape Large Hadron Collider and direct detection constraints. In particular, we find that dark matter masses within 10 less than or similar to m((upsilon) over tildeR) less than or similar to 600 GeV are fully compatible with current experimental constraints. Remarkably, not only spectra with light sleptons are needed, but we obtain solutions with m((mu) over tilde) greater than or similar to 600 GeV in the entire dark matter mass range that could be probed by new (g – 2)(mu) data in the near future. In addition, dark matter direct detection experiments will be able to explore a sizable portion of the allowed parameter space with mvR < 300 GeV, while indirect detection experiments will be able to probe a much smaller fraction within 200 less than or similar to m((nu)over tilde>R) less than or similar to 350 GeV. |
